About us:

Lower Trinity Corps was started as a result of the closing of the Hant's Hr. and Winterton Corps. Hant's Hr. Corps needed new facilities (it already had a new quarters) whereas the Winterton Corps needed a new quarters (it had a new Citadel opened in 1992). Being only 9 km. apart, it seemed the most natural thing to do was to come together. So, on June 25th, 2000, (after many meetings and many, many prayers) in the morning services at both corps the flags were retired and during the night service at the church in Winterton, the Lower Trinity Corps was officially opened. Colonel Max and Leona Feener (Divisional Leaders) presided at the ceremony, with the assistance of Captains Vaden and Judy Vincent and Captains Hedley and Bernice Oliver.
Our first corps officers were Captains Don and Glendene Barrow, who had to leave in March of 2001 because of sickness. There was then a period between March and late June when we were without officers. As a result of much, more prayer; some dedicated locals and the complete support and help of the Divisional Commander and other officers at DHQ, we came through it ok. Our present officers arrived at the end of June, 2001, and the corps has grown steadily since.

The biggest reason for the growth of our corps is prayer

We urge you to attend the church of your choice. However if you're in this area and are not connected to any church, there is a warm welcome waiting for you at Lower Trinity Corps. May God bless you!.

Special Announcement

Donation of Chairs

As you know, as part of our church renovations, the pews at the church are being replaced by specially designed chairs that will match the color of the chairs we already have on hand. These new chairs will be placed in the main part of our sanctuary, and will be used for all our worship services. They are of exceptionally high quality, and carry a lifetime warranty on the frame and fabric.

There are 100 of these new chairs coming at a cost of $75 each. And as we advised earlier, we are now giving the opportunity for you to donate a chair (or as many as you would like) in memory of a loved one. You or your family might even consider donating an entire row of six chairs (roughly corresponding to a single pew) for an amount of $450.

Also, for anyone who might be interested, there are other more costly items that could be donated as well. Just check with Captain Leigh or Albert for details.

A special board recognizing donations will be placed in the foyer of the church, showing the item(s) donated, the person(s) who donated, and who is being remembered by the donation. A number of people have already indicated they would like to donate in this way. So for anyone wanting to donate a chair (or chairs) or any other item, please see Captain Leigh or Albert.
